We wrestle not with flesh and blood
It has been a year and a half since we last posted an article on this website. For any of you following what has been happening in Haiti, you are aware of a lot of struggles that are happening at the present moment. As of last week, there was another 7+ magnitude earthquake that hit southern Haiti. The places of Les Cayas, and Jeremie were hit hard and rescue efforts and medical attention are being organized to respond to the aftermath
HGM currently has employees with family in those affected areas and we are going to get tents, tarps, and other needed things for those families. If you would like to give towards this effort, please contact us and we will let you know how to get involved and what we are sending for relief.
As many of you know, 2 weeks ago the mission house was broken into and there was at least $1000 was taken out of the mission payroll. We also had about $1,500 in medical bills and for the people that were in the house at the time of the break in. This was a blow to our security. For 14 years we have worked in the Despinos area. We will need to address the security measures in place there at the Mission compound and the Church, school and Clinic. Haiti is getting more dangerous by the day it seems. Please pray with us as we move forward. The ones injured in this attach are doing much better, We thank all of you that have reached out to us and are praying.
With all of this in mind, we know that these things that have happened in Haiti are part of the spiritual warfare that is going on in Haiti right now. It can be easy to look at the government, or individuals, or even nature, for everything that is happening in Haiti, but We know what scriptures says in Ephesians 6
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Satan would like nothing more than to end as many lives as he can before the hear the powerful Word of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We have that responsibility in Haiti and in every corner of the world, that we proclaim the good news of the Gospel, and that many would come to the Promise of salvation and live everlasting.
Your prayers and support of Haiti Gospel Mission make it possible for us to share the good news, in our Church, School and Clinic. Please consider what your part will be in this en devour. We need your help, we need your prayers.
God Bless you all.
